This fall, Patrick will teach Acting III at Boston Conservatory at Berklee for B.F.A. musical theatre students.

“Patrick Fretwell (assistant professor of theater) is a multifaceted theater artist with a diverse range of interests. He trained with the Tonda Bunraku Puppetry Theatre in Japan and has also studied stage combat, earning an actor combatant certification from the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) in unarmed, single sword, and rapier and dagger. He holds a master’s degree from the University of Houston and a bachelor’s from Furman University. In the spring of 2025, Patrick played Father Flynn in The Garden Theatre’s production of Doubt.

“Set against the backdrop of a 1960s America in the midst of political and social change, Doubt is the story of when a progressive young priest’s conduct comes under question by Sister Aloysius Beauvier, the school principal whose beliefs are deeply rooted in tradition. As the actions and motivations of each are scrutinized and suspicion mounts, the two are drawn into a battle of wills that threatens irrevocable consequences for all involved.”
